The evening air is pleasant. I needed a place few wouldn't follow, and I enjoy the quiet of the woods at night. Do you mean to eat me, Mr. Wolf?

[the shift garners some genuine surprise from the doctor for a moment]

Well. I don't need food, and I don't need money. Ain't got no use for technology as a wolf.

You don't need food? What about protection, or a pack?

Can protect myself well enough.

[ he frowns at the other, though. ]

Ain't got a pack. And you ain't a wolf, otherwise, I wouldn't be barterin' with you right now.

Hmm, let me think... you don't seem ill or injured, so I expect you'll have little need for a doctor. If you've no qualms about obtaining your own food, you won't be interested in the prey that I kill. I could lure some more unsuspecting humans into these woods, but that may garner interference from the humans that live nearby.

I suppose the best I have, then, is to offer entertainment.

[ looks kind of appalled actually. ]

[the doctor chuckles, and steps forward]

My apologies. As for that, tell me what interests you, what entertains you. I'll do my utmost best to fulfill it.

[ rubs his chin thoughtfully ]

Hunting, fucking, fighting...

Hmm. How about a chase, then? I may not be as strong or as fast as a wolf, but I could make a go of it.

[ huffs, smiling. ]

You could try. I'd even give you a head start.

I do hope it won't be too easy for you. Shall we begin?

[the doctor shifts as though he's going to start sprinting]

[ honestly watching this doctor dude running might be funny enough ]

[NYOOM. he's reasonably fast for a human--he looks pretty thin, so he's got speed on his side. still, he is just a normal human otherwise, so the scent isn't difficult to follow... though if jules is following the scent of blood, it splits off deep in the forest where the doctor's tracks seem to make a roundabout]

[wolfitdown]

[ he gives him a good fifteen minutes, stalking leisurely after him in his large mid-form on all fours. That splut is interesting enough, so he follows it until it ends or double back, before heading back to the nation scent trail.

He picks up some speed, though, when the smell is fresher. ]
